A Safe Place will assure battered women and their
children a comprehensive treatment process in a safe and secure
environment for Jefferson County.

Brief Description
The Comtrea's A Safe Place Domestic Violence Shelter
is a residential program, with services to meet the immediate needs
of women and their children(boys over age 12 are limited to outpatient
services only), who are victims of domestic violence. The services
offered are:
Twenty-four hour Crisis Hotline
Emergency Shelter Program
Residential Shelter Program
Individual Therapy
Group Therapy
Life Skill Groups
Domestic Violence Education Groups
Community Networking
Court Advocacy
Support Groups
Recreational Activities
One of three living rooms at the shelter
